Drivers in York can expect several street closings this evening for National Night Out events.
Community block parties have been scheduled throughout the city from 4 to 9:30 p.m.
The following streets will be closed:
- First block of South Penn Street (Market Street to King Street)
- 400 block of Salem Avenue (Hartley Street to King Street)
- 400 block of West King Street (Hartley Street to Penn Street)
- 100 block of North Pine Street (Philadelphia Street to Walnut Street)
- 100 block of South Pine Street (King Street to Princess Street)
- 200 block of East College Avenue (Queen Street to Pine Street)
- 800 block of Florida Avenue (Hawthorne Street to Carlisle Avenue)
IN OTHER NEWS: The 700 block of West College Avenue will be closed Saturday Aug. 7 from Belvidere Avenue to Hawthorne Street for a cookout at Bantz Park. The event, sponsored by Shiloh Baptist Church, will be held from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
