Sewer project slows traffic near stadium

| | Comments (0)
Visitors to the Sovereign Bank Stadium and the surrounding businesses can expect delays for the next three to four weeks while crews replace a more than 100-year-old sewer line on North George Street.

At least one lane will be blocked by equipment between North and Arch streets into September, said Jim Gross, York's director of public works. Work will be completed between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The project is the final phase of the sewer project at the Northwest Triangle, he said. Over 2,500 feet of existing sewer pipe will be replaced.
