Public art experts to hold forum Thursday in York

Check out a free forum Thursday night featuring four nationally recognized public art experts visiting York for the weekend.

The Art for All panel, composed of alumni from Harvard University’s Loeb Fellowship program, will visit the city to offer advice on how to promote York County’s cultural and environmental assets through public art.

The free public forum will be held at the Capitol Theatre from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in York. Members of the group will also meet with artists, tour downtown York and visit the Codorus Creek corridor on Friday and Saturday.

The Loeb Fellowship was established at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design in 1970 and offers a grant program in which a Loeb Fellow can enlist the help of other fellows for local art-related projects. Genevieve Ray, York City Council President, is a former Loeb Fellow. York’s Art for All program, managed by Foundry Plaza, Inc., was awarded the grant this year.
