It’s a creek. On fire. It’s CreekFire.

Check it out. CreekFire even has a logo now.

Update Friday 2:30 p.m.: Due to weather, CreekFire has been postponed until Saturday at 8:30 p.m.

Reported earlier: It’s back!

York’s newest and arguably most bizarre event, CreekFire, will be held for the second go around this Friday around 8:30 p.m. at the Foundry Park boat basin.

In case you missed the first one in May, CreekFire is exactly what it sounds like. A floating firepit loaded with wood is set aflame and cast into the middle of the Codorus Creek.

If that sounds awesome to you, bring a blanket, your guitar, your children, etc. and head to the creek for an evening of fun and fire.

In case of rain, CreekFire will be postponed until Saturday night at the same time and location.
