Mayor announces city parking change

Mayor Kim Bracey announced on Thursday a change to city parking policy that could affect those with friends or family visiting from out of town.

It might just save you money, or save you from a headache.

The “Non Core Residential Guest Passes” are for residents with non-core meter parking passes, who have visitors staying over the course of several days, according to a city news release.

Beginning Feb. 1, homeowners or tenants can purchase 5-day passes with current non- core meter tags, for $20 per pass. Residents can purchase the guest pass up to 5 times per year.

Anyone with questions about the guest passes can get more information by calling 849-2309.
