Bracey expects search for new business administrator to take 6 months

York Mayor Kim Bracey said after a City Council meeting Wednesday night that she expects the search for a new business administrator to take up to half a year.

Michael O’Rourke, who held the position for about a decade and a half, resigned abruptly last week.

Based on her experience in searching for an economic development director, she said she expects that the search for a new business administrator will take a significant amount of time.

She said she plans to form a committee to perform interviews and added that she doesn’t know what the candidate pool is like for that position.

She has yet to name an interim business administrator.
