Brick arch emerges from York stadium dig

“A bit of history is visible at the stadium site. If you sit on Arch Street and look south toward the old Pennsylvania Railroad station, you can the the top of a brick arch. It looks like it might have been a walkway under the tracks for the days when passenger trains stopped in York. It is not the subway that was located at the east end of the station for passenger access to the north side of the tracks. Or it could be a remnant of the Northern Central Railroad station that I think was in this general location in years past. Perhaps some history-minded readers could have knowledge of what this arch might have been used for."

Anyone have ideas of what he saw?
