Dennis Kunkle of the York County Heritage Trust arrived on the scene and saw the tailgate of a Chevy truck sticking out of the building.
"To see a truck halfway in our building," he told the York Daily Record/Sunday News, "I sort of couldn't believe it."
A York man drove his 1983 truck into the tavern, according to York City Police.
Although damage assessments are ongoing, it seemingly could have been worse.
'It's a testimony to the craftsmanship," the York County Heritage Trust's Dennis Kunkle said.
