Russell Moser with Kinsley Industrial directs the move of a 1942 Model 40 locomotive engine into York's Agricultural and Industrial Museum in 2004. According to the York County Heritage Trust, the 44-ton, General Motors-built engine was used during World War II to transport bomb casings. The trust recently unveiled a speakers series called "Saturday Morning." Those looking for free regular presentations on issues touching on York County history have another opportunity the second Saturday of each month.

At the next presentation -10:30 a.m. Nov. 8 - fellow blogger Scott Butcher will discuss local architecture.
This series will join the Southcentral Pennsylvania Genealogical Society (first Sunday) and York's Civil War Roundtable (third Wednesday) as regular history-related programs in the York area. (Both meet at the Heritage Trust's 250 E. Market St., location.)

The Second Saturday program is set up early on a day that many people choose to sleep in. But that gives attendees time to tour Heritage Trust sites.
"It's really cool that the Heritage Trust started this program," Butcher told the York Daily Record/Sunday News.
