About a year ago, it ocurred to me that I was blogging a lot on Abraham Lincoln's links to York County.
His influence in York County was - and is - great... .
This border county in a border state wrestled with his presidential policies.
Of course, he passed through here on his way to and from delivering his famous address at Gettysburg.
He was supposed to stop here in 1861 on his way to the White House, but he was re-booked because of concerns about his safety farther south.
And his solemn funeral train stopped here.
