This Wolf Supply marketing piece is part a special exhibit that's part of Mount Wolf Borough's 100th anniversary festivities. See additional photos of items on exhibit below. Also of interest: Susquehanna Lions fight to keep streak going in Mount Wolf and Caeserville, named after ex-slave, flourished as lumber center and York's Wolf Organization builds from deep foundation.

Mount Wolf's primary centennial activities kick off this weekend with a chicken barbecue, walking tour, concert, cake decorating contest and, of course, a ceremony at the ballfield.

A special historical exhibit or museum has been set up at Diehl Funeral Home... .

Those who can't make it can share in festivities by accessing Mount Wolf's website, packed with history, information and trivia about this northeastern York County borough.

Here's one interesting trivia item:

The last movie shown in the Mt Wolf Theater, in 1984, was "E.T. The Extra Terrestrial". The young projectionist for that last showing became a politician with initials J.F.K. We knew him later as, Mayor James F. Kinder. In that very audience was another future politician. The 2010 Borough Mayor, Joshua Bowers. Jim retired from the Mayor's office after serving for about a quarter of the Borough's history. He is surpassed only by Edwin Greiman, who held the office for the first 40 years.
