The Hugh McCall Mansion, 228 E. Market St., is owner of a new painting, mounted in its auditorium. The former Women’s Club of York building, now going by the McCall name, will be a venue for public musical concerts, art tours, antique shows, tea parties and weddings, according to its Facebook page. Work is underway on The Bond, the former Bond Sanitary Products Building in the budding Royal Square arts district. The Bond will serve as a sort of headquarters for the district, also offering wedding venue and event space. Here’s an update: The Bond is slated to open its co-working and industrial artist spaces in March.
A Nov. 16 book launch party is set for ‘Lewis Miller’s People,’ a soon-to-be released book edited by Lila Fourhman-Shaull and June Lloyd. The York County Heritage Trust publication will be unveiled at the 2 p.m. , Nov. 16, event at the the trust’s 250 E. Market St., museum. More at: ‘Lewis Miller’s People.’

Ex-Yorker Cliff Satterthwaite will return to York, his home for several decades for a display of more than 50 pieces of his York-related art (see below). He also hopes to make available his new book with 360 pieces of his York works. A reception is planned between 4-6 p.m., Nov. 15, at the Colonial Courthouse in York.
