Ike Eisenhower’s 1955 Cockshutt Blackhawk 40: This tractor was not for sale

Dwight D. Eisenhower probably never drove this 1955 Cockshutt Blackhawk 40 tractor, but it was part of his Gettysburg farm at the the time of his death. The Evening Sun in Hanover reported that it was on display with other antiques that were part of Adams County farmer Stanley Wolf’s collection.

Low-flying plane post leads the pack in YorkTownSquare.com’s Top 10 most viewed of 2013

A York Town Square post of a low-flying military plane gained more traffic than any other story in 2013. The plane circled the York-area sky on a busy Friday football night, capturing the attention of thousands of York countians. It then flew away. I put other military plane appearances – and crashes – in the post to give a sense of history.
