A big week for York County, Pa., sports: Ron Wolf, Bruce Arians and John Kuhn score national honors

New Freedom, Pa.’s Ron Wolf is seen with new Green Bay Packers head coach Mike Sherman in 2000. Wolf has gained a spot in the NFL Hall of Fame, the second person with York County roots to do so. York High’s Chris Doleman was voted in last year.

York, Pa., Daily Record photographers has been capturing some interesting outdoor photographs of high school sports all-star groups. This photo came from a different ‘shoot,’ providing the cover of the basketball preview tab. We’re presenting it here because this photograph is outstanding, literally, and its compelling setting, with those historic buildings in the background. So, let’s test your downtown York, Pa.
